The idea of a cycle of landscapes oil “Year in Kolomna” arose from the artist during his walks in the park museum-reserve Kolomenskoye. Decoration of the park – the centuries-old oaks of Peter’s time – are present in almost all the pictures of the author. At different times of the year from different perspectives the artist conveys the beauty and power of these envoys of time, change the state of nature in different calendar months.
